DPD Ireland, a trailblazer in the parcel delivery industry, has been awarded the prestigious CCA Global Accreditation for Customer Experience© for the 7th consecutive year. This significant milestone reflects DPD's commitment to excellence and innovation, solidifying its position as Ireland's largest dedicated parcel delivery company. With 36 depots across the country handling over 20 million parcels annually, DPD continues to lead the field in parcel delivery technology and customer satisfaction.

A history of growth and innovation

Since its major expansion in 2006, when GeoPost invested €18 million into a new sorting hub and headquarters in Athlone, Co Westmeath, DPD has consistently pushed the boundaries of efficiency and service. In 2008, La Poste unified its parcel express companies under the single brand, DPD. The company expanded further in 2016, doubling its hub size and tripling its sortation capacity. Technological advancements such as real-time, online track and trace, Predict, and the DPD Ireland App have revolutionised parcel delivery, making DPD a key innovator in the industry.

Customer and colleague engagement: The key to success

The past year has seen significant innovation and change for DPD, fostering a robust and healthy organisational culture. The latest CCA Global Assessment highlighted DPD's focus on customer and colleague engagement, with strong colleague engagement results underscoring effective strategies, policies, staff engagement, and the use of technology. The integration of the voice of the customer into daily routines and interactions further emphasises DPD's dedication to excellence.

Recognition and accolades

DPD's commitment to creating a positive and inclusive workplace has earned them significant external recognition. Achievements such as the 'Great Places to Work' accreditation, inclusion in the top 150 companies to work for, and re-accreditation by the Irish Centre of Diversity underscore DPD's dedication to fostering a supportive work environment.

Commitment to development and innovation

DPD's emphasis on learning and development, succession planning, and promoting internal promotions and apprenticeships is commendable. This was further endorsed by achieving CCA Accreditation for Learning & Development earlier this year. Initiatives to celebrate success, build the DPD brand, and offer health benefits, hybrid working, and family days ensure that employees remain at the forefront of the business.

By adapting to the evolving needs of customers and employees, DPD Ireland is well-prepared to thrive in the future. Congratulations to DPD Ireland on this remarkable achievement and for setting a high standard in the parcel delivery industry.
